The following software is required to run a VC/m server with clients using the browser interface:

• one of the following database servers:
• Caché
• DSM
• Ensemble
• GT.M
• M21
• MSM
• one of the following web servers:
• Apache
• Internet Information Services (IIS)
• Personal Web Services (PWS)
• one of the following interfaces:
• Caché Server Pages (part of Caché and Ensemble)
• WebLink (supplied by InterSystems)
• serverLink (supplied with VC/m)

The following combinations are currently supported:

Database Server	Web Server	Interface
Caché	IIS, PWS or Apache	CSP, WebLink or serverLink
DSM	IIS, PWS or Apache	WebLink
Ensemble	IIS, PWS or Apache	CSP, WebLink or serverLink
M21	IIS, PWS or Apache	serverLink
MSM	IIS, PWS or Apache	WebLink

The following software is required to run a VC/m server without clients using the browser interface:

• one of the following database servers:
• Caché
• DSM
• Ensemble
• GT.M
• M21
• MSM

The following hardware and software is required to run a VC/m client using the browser interface:

• a PC running Internet Explorer 5.0 or later on Windows
