After Installing Mabry Socket/X Evaluation, an Evaluation Dialog Appears when Serenji Starts

Symptoms

After Mabry Socket/X evaluation has been installed, an evaluation dialog appears when Serenji starts.

Cause

This is a limitation of Mabry's licensing model. They distribute different versions of SocketX.DLL for evaluation and for licensed users. If your evaluation version has a higher version number than the licensed one installed by Serenji, the Mabry evaluation installation will overwrite the one shipped with Serenji.

Solution

To resolve this, uninstall the Mabry evaluation. Then delete SocketX.DLL from the Windows\System or System32 directory. Finally, reinstall Serenji.
